Frequently Asked Questions

  • Like any outdoor sport, skydiving involves inherent risk but proper preparation and good judgment can minimize the vast majority of them. Many think that equipment failure causes most skydiving accidents, but the reality is that the vast majority are a result of simple human error. Many of the accidents occur because the jumper—oftentimes an experienced skydiver who is pushing the limits— makes an error in judgement while landing a perfectly functioning parachute. (Just as automobile accidents are not usually the result of equipment failure, but rather operator mistakes.)

  • Ah yes — the age-old question! If we could predict the weather with perfect accuracy, we’d probably be in a very different line of work.

The honest answer? We don’t know. Mother Nature runs the show, and unfortunately we don’t have her direct phone number.

What we can promise is this: if it’s during our regular business hours, we’ll be here — rain, wind, or shine — ready to go when conditions allow. Skydiving is weather-dependent, but weather is also wonderfully unpredictable. It’s very common for conditions to shift throughout the day, so a temporary weather hold does not automatically mean your jump day is cancelled. You may experience a delay from your scheduled time while we wait for clouds to lift or winds to settle, but our team will be watching closely and doing everything we can to get you safely up in the air.

It’s also worth remembering that weather systems move differently across the province. Just because it may be raining in Calgary doesn’t mean it’s raining at our drop zone — it could very well be blue skies and sunshine at our location.

For that reason, we always recommend calling ahead if you’re unsure. We’re happy to give you the most up-to-date conditions and help set expectations for the day.

A little suspense is all part of the adventure — the sky usually rewards the patient!

  • To reserve your spot in the sky, we require a $75 non-refundable deposit per person. This secures your slot on our aircraft and allows us to schedule staff, instructors, and equipment specifically for your jump.

    You’re welcome to:

    • Pre-pay the full amount upfront, or

    • Pay the remaining balance upon arrival, including any optional add-ons (photos, video packages, etc.).

If, for any reason, you decide not to jump, the remaining balance (less the $50 deposit) will be refunded. The deposit itself is non-refundable, as it holds your dedicated time slot and covers administrative and scheduling costs.

That said — we strongly encourage you to rebook instead of cancel! If something comes up or you’re just not feeling it that day, we’re happy to move you to another available date at no additional cost. The sky isn’t going anywhere, and we’ll be ready when you are.

  • As much as we are profound animal lovers (seriously — we adore them), we kindly ask that pets be left at home for the duration of your visit.

We do make exceptions for certified service or support animals; however, even in those cases, certain restrictions apply.

This is an active airport environment with moving aircraft at any time. For everyone’s safety, pets must be kept on a leash at all times and under direct control. This also helps prevent accidental interference with operations or dirtying or damaging sensitive parachute equipment.

All animals brought on site must have a calm, friendly demeanour toward both people and other pets. And while your furry friend may be the sweetest companion imaginable, please keep in mind that some guests may feel uncomfortable around dogs. We strive to create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all participants and their guests.

When in doubt, the safest (and simplest!) option is to let your pet relax at home while you take to the skies.

  • Dress for the weather, keeping in mind that it’s significantly colder at altitude—even in the summer—so layers are recommended. Please wear runners or other secure, lace-up footwear; flip-flops, slides, Uggs, or similar shoes are not permitted. Comfortable, non-restrictive activewear is best, as it allows full freedom of movement during your jump. If you have long hair, bring something to secure it in a bun or ponytail. Avoid bringing large or loose jewelry such as hoop earrings or necklaces; a good rule of thumb is that if you wouldn’t want to lose it, don’t bring it. All required safety equipment, including your harness and goggles, is provided.

  • NO! You should eat a light balanced meal and be well hydrated for your jump.

Skydiving is nothing like a rollercoaster, and everything like a Skydive! You will experience a massive surge of adrenaline so it’s important that your body is properly fuelled for your adventure.

  • When you arrive, you’ll check in, meet your instructor, and go through a short but thorough safety and orientation briefing. Then, you’ll gear up in your harness and board our aircraft for a scenic ascent to altitude. From takeoff to landing, the experience is designed to feel smooth, safe, and exhilarating — from the first briefing to the final touchdown.

  • While we always look forward to getting you in the air on your scheduled date, there are a number of external factors that may prevent a skydive from taking place. Skydiving is a weather-dependent activity, and conditions such as high winds, low cloud cover, reduced visibility, precipitation, or unstable systems at altitude can make it unsafe to operate—even if the weather appears acceptable on the ground. Because we operate in a highly regulated aviation environment, unforeseen aircraft maintenance requirements or unexpected staff illness may also require us to pause or reschedule operations to maintain the highest safety standards.

Your personal health is equally important. If you are feeling unwell—particularly with sinus congestion, cold or flu symptoms, or difficulty equalizing pressure in your ears—you may not be able to jump safely, as changes in altitude can cause significant discomfort or injury. For the safety of everyone involved, we also maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol, and anyone suspected of being under the influence will be refused participation.

Every decision to delay or reschedule a jump is made solely with safety in mind—for you, our team, and all participants. While we understand that rescheduling can be disappointing, we are always happy to help you book another date that works best for you. Your safety is our priority, and we look forward to getting you in the sky when conditions are right.

  • Our standard tandem skydives are from approximately 13,000 feet, giving you roughly 60 seconds of freefall followed by a peaceful parachute glide lasting several minutes. It’s the perfect balance of adrenaline and serenity.

*Because we jump with the weather, altitude may occasionally vary depending on clouds and conditions.

  • From check-in to landing, plan for 2 to 3 hours. Weather and air traffic can occasionally cause short delays — we recommend keeping your schedule flexible so you can fully enjoy the experience without rush.

  • Absolutely! We have a comfortable viewing area where guests can watch takeoffs and landings, snap photos, and share in the excitement. It’s a fantastic way to turn your jump day into a full-on celebration.

That said, please remember — this is an active airport environment. Aircraft may be starting, taxiing, or moving at any time, and certain areas are restricted for operational and safety reasons. We ask that all participants and their guests remain aware of their surroundings and respect posted boundaries.

Younger children, or guests who require additional supervision, must be kept in close proximity and under strict supervision at all times. This helps prevent interference with aircraft operations and protects our sensitive parachute equipment, which can be easily damaged if handled or disturbed.

Safety is our top priority — both in the air and on the ground — and we appreciate everyone doing their part to help us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

  • You must be 18 years or older to skydive (16 with on-site parental consent).

The maximum weight limit is 230 lbs (104 kg) due to equipment and harness restrictions. All guests are weighed at check-in to ensure a safe and comfortable fit. Certain medical conditions—such as pregnancy, current or past injuries, or specific health concerns—may prevent participation. We strongly recommend that guests consult with their physician prior to making a booking if they have any medical questions or concerns. We do have specialty harnesses that can accommodate certain disabilities on a case-by-case basis; please contact us in advance to discuss your specific situation.

  • For safety reasons, only licensed skydivers may wear cameras. Tandem guests cannot bring personal GoPros or phones during the jump — but our professional media team will ensure you get spectacular footage safely and securely.

  • Yes. We offer exclusive group rates for parties of five or more—ideal for team events, birthdays, or milestone celebrations. Private aircraft bookings and fully customized experiences are also available upon request.
